I just noticed last week that UK has already posted the 2008 football schedule on Limestone. A quick glance at revels that there are not a lot of appealing home games. Based on Stewart Mandel’s projected power rankings (Link) UK will only play one team at home in the top 25 (#1 UGA).

Well, it was never going to measure up to the 2007 home schedule, was it?
Nothing to get excited about non-conference wise (we’re taking a page out of Ohio State’s book with the two MAC teams). But the Arkansas and Carolina games are enticing as we’ve never beaten either coach. And of course Georgia will be a big game.

I see a minimum 4 wins there — the first 3 and Vandy — and depending on the QB and WR developments the USC and Arkansas games should be opportunities and they will be underdogs no matter what against UGA. That makes road games at Bama, Miss. State and Louisville critical.
Once again, the season may hinge on the Louisville game. thankfully, they still have Coach Krag.

re: Hubbs - That’s pretty much how I sea the season as well. It is too bad that the second open week doesn’t come a bit earlier. It would be nice to have it before Vandy so that we could get guys healthy.

re Ryan, I’m not sure its a given that they will be ranked. They play UGA before then so thats probably at least one loss for them.
