Watch Advertisements

While athletes have often endorsed products a trend I’ve noticed in magazines lately is an increasing number of watch advertisements.  It seams in the past couple of months that every issue of Sports Illustrated has contained at least one watch ad.  What is also surprising is the wide variety of athletes they have endorsing the products.  For instance there is a golfer (Tiger), a skater (Cohen), a tennis player (Sharapova), a baseball player (Jeter), a football player (Brady) and two race car drivers (Michael Waltrip and Jeff Gordon).  In addition to the athletes I think that the Raymond Weil ad might be the first to use ESPN Sports Center anchors to endorse non-ESPN branded products.  The ad (shown above) stars Dan Patrick, Steve Levy and Trey Wingo.

I’ve compiled a gallery of advertisements after the jump.
